What the switcher can show
Depending on your account and role, the menu includes:- Account overview for an eligible account Owner or Admin with at least two active workspaces;
- Your workspaces grouped by account;
- the role associated with an account group;
- a check beside the active workspace;
- keyboard shortcuts
⌘1through⌘9for listed workspaces; - New workspace;
- Workspace settings; and
- Invite team members.
Switch safely
1
Finish or save current work
A switch changes the workspace context for the next page and action. Save drafts or settings first.
2
Open the switcher
Select the current workspace name in the top-left.
3
Choose the target workspace
Use the account grouping, workspace name, and active check—not a similar brand name alone.
4
Verify the new context
Confirm the trigger now shows the intended workspace, then verify the page’s connected account or workspace name before changing anything.
What changes with the active workspace
Personal Profile, Authentication, and MCP connect do not become different records when the workspace changes. MCP connections still use explicit per-session workspace grants.
Create or administer from the menu
- New workspace begins a separate workspace setup; it does not duplicate the active workspace’s integrations or policy.
- Workspace settings opens settings for the current workspace.
- Invite team members opens the account-grain invitation flow, where you choose All workspaces or Selected workspaces.
- Account overview moves to a cross-workspace rollup rather than making one workspace active for all account data.
If switching fails
The error reads Couldn’t switch workspace. Please try again.- Leave the current page unchanged.
- Reopen the switcher and check which workspace still has the active check.
- Retry once.
- If the workspace disappeared, ask an account Owner or Admin to check your membership and selected-workspace grant.
- Do not assume a failed switch changed provider or billing scope.
Before a material action
Use this four-part check:- Workspace name in the switcher
- Provider account, store, or property on the page
- Source and workspace currency
- Intended workspace guardrails and reviewer
