Most integration issues fall into one of four layers: workspace access, provider authorization, selected resources, or sync state. Check them in that order.

Fast diagnostic sequence

1

Confirm the workspace and role

Verify the workspace in the Marketer switcher. Owners, Admins, and Members can manage integrations; Viewers are read-only.
2

Read the connection status

Open Integrations, then the provider. Distinguish Disconnected, Finish setup, Reconnect needed, Status unavailable, and Connected.
3

Check selected resources

Confirm the expected Meta assets, Google Ads accounts, Shopify stores, GA4 properties, or Slack workspace and channel.
4

Check sync and coverage

Review progress, last sync, failures, and the imported time range. Do not diagnose missing data from the connected badge alone.
5

Validate a completed period

Compare one account, metric, currency, and date range with the source platform.

Choose the right recovery action

Status unavailable is not the same as Disconnected. Marketer preserves the last-known connection when a safe status read fails.
If an agent result says Disconnected while the provider detail page says Reconnect needed, preserve both observations and treat the provider page plus its last-sync details as the current user-visible state. Do not disconnect or reconnect until you have confirmed the intended provider account.

Data looks incomplete

  1. Confirm that the correct resource was selected.
  2. Check whether a sync is still running or failed.
  3. Inspect data coverage for the requested date range.
  4. Avoid an incomplete current day.
  5. Check the source platform’s own processing delay.
  6. For blended reporting, confirm source currency and workspace reporting currency.
  7. For attribution data, name the source and attribution context instead of expecting different systems to match by default.

A control is read-only

Viewers cannot manage connections. Some workspace or billing controls also require Owner or Admin access. If the UI is intentionally read-only, ask a workspace Owner or Admin to review the change rather than sharing credentials.

Before disconnecting

Disconnect only after checking dependent reports, product views, audiences, notifications, and workflows. Record the affected source and date before removal so your team can explain a later coverage gap.

Escalation details

When you report a problem, include:
  • Marketer workspace name
  • provider and selected account, store, or property ID
  • exact status text
  • last successful sync and requested date range
  • whether Reconnect or Resync was attempted
  • a screenshot with credentials and customer data removed
Continue with Workspace and admin troubleshooting when the issue involves roles, authentication, or account access rather than a provider connection.
