Prerequisites
- A Marketer Owner, Admin, or Member role
- A Google identity that can reach the required Google Ads accounts
- The customer IDs of the leaf accounts you want to sync
- Agreement on the workspace reporting currency and date range you will use for validation

The provider header confirms authorization and introduces account selection. Continue down the page to choose the leaf accounts for this workspace.
Connect Google Ads
1
Open Google Ads
Go to Integrations, then open Google Ads.
2
Authorize read access
Select Connect Google Ads and complete Google’s consent flow. Review the access Google displays.
3
Choose accounts
Select the non-manager accounts that should enter this workspace’s blended reporting. A manager account can expose its children, but Marketer syncs the leaf accounts you select.
4
Confirm the connection
Check for Connected, the Google identity, the number of selected accounts, and the connected date.
Confirm the first sync
Wait for the sync state to complete, then review Synced Google Ads accounts and the data-coverage view. Each selected account should show its customer ID and currency. As a first validation, ask which campaigns used the most spend over a completed date range. Compare the account, currency, and totals with Google Ads before using the answer for a decision.Data and permission boundaries
Marketer imports campaigns, ad groups, ads, and performance from the leaf accounts you select. The connection page is explicit about read access; any additional product action remains subject to the action’s own permissions, your workspace role, and workspace policy. Account selection is workspace-specific. A Viewer can inspect the selected accounts but cannot change the selection. Optional Google recommendation controls, when shown, are separate from the connection itself.Freshness and reporting
Use sync state and coverage to judge whether a period is ready for analysis. Recent Google Ads metrics can change as conversions and attribution settle. When a selected account uses a different currency, blended views convert reporting to the workspace reporting currency. Confirm the source currency before comparing raw Google Ads values with a blended Marketer view.Reconnect, resync, or disconnect
- Choose Manage accounts to add or remove leaf accounts while authorization remains active.
- Choose Refresh account access when authorization exists but no selectable accounts were saved.
- Choose Reconnect Google Ads when Google invalidates the authorization.
- If an account shows Access lost, restore access in Google Ads or remove that account from the selection. A normal resync cannot repair a provider-side denial.
- If status is unavailable, refresh before changing the connection. Marketer preserves the last-known state while verification fails.
- Disconnect only after checking which reports and workflows depend on the selected accounts.
