Choose the channel before the metric
The channel control can include:- All channels
- Meta
- Google Ads
- Microsoft Ads (Beta)
- Google Analytics
- Shopify
- OpenAI Ads (Beta)
Triple Whale (Beta) is an attribution choice for eligible views, not an additional advertising channel. Selecting it changes the measurement frame. Record its attribution model with every result you share.
Build the measurement frame
1
Set complete dates
Use a preset or Custom range, select both boundaries, and choose Apply. Analytics settles daily facts through the latest complete day in the workspace reporting timezone, so a current partial day is not a substitute for Yesterday.
2
Set the chart resolution
Choose Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly. This changes how the trend is grouped, not the underlying date window.
3
Set the comparison
Use Comparison off, Previous period, Year over year, or Custom comparison. For a custom comparison, complete both dates and confirm the two windows answer the intended question.
4
Confirm included accounts
Open Accounts and inspect the resources represented by the view. Use Manage to repair or change a provider connection; do not assume a missing account is included in an all-channel total.
5
Confirm attribution and currency
Use Platform unless the review intentionally requires a healthy Triple Whale (Beta) connection. Read the workspace display currency and any source-currency disclosure before comparing money.
6
Choose visible metrics
Select Manage metrics, then use Visible metrics to keep the decision-driving cards in view. Hiding a card changes presentation only; it does not change the source data.
Diagnose a result without skipping grain
Read the page in this order:- Start with the business outcome shown for the channel, such as sales, orders, or purchases.
- Read spend beside the outcome.
- Use the selected comparison to establish direction and magnitude.
- Inspect the time series to find when the change began.
- Open the relevant breakdown—such as channel, campaign, search term, landing page, product, country, or device—when it is present.
- Continue in the surface that owns the object before recommending a change.
Do not infer cause from one correlated chart. Record the observed change, the leading explanation, and the next check as separate statements.
Create a custom view
Custom views live in Your views beneath the standard Analytics cards. They are useful for a repeated question that needs a stable chart or table rather than a new export each time.1
Open the builder
Select New view. If you do not see Your views, confirm that you are on Performance and that the page has finished loading.
2
Name the decision
Enter a specific Title such as “Meta prospecting CPA trend,” not a generic label such as “Weekly chart.”
3
Choose a block
Select KPI tile, Time series, Table, Donut, or Ranked bars. Use a KPI for one current result, a time series for change over time, and a table or ranked view for composition.
4
Choose channel and measures
Set Channel, then choose Measure or Measures from the compatible options. The builder disables combinations the selected block or source cannot support.
5
Choose the grain
Use Breakdown and, when available, Split by. Add Only include · [dimension] when the view should cover a specific subset rather than the full channel.
6
Choose window and comparison
Select a Window such as Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, This month, or Last month. Choose No comparison, Previous period, Previous week, Previous month, or Year over year as appropriate.
7
Validate the preview
Inspect Preview before saving. Confirm that the title, block, units, grain, filter, date rule, and comparison tell one coherent story.
Interpret saved-view states
Use a saved view’s menu to edit or delete it. After deletion, wait for View deleted and confirm the card leaves Your views before creating a replacement with the same name.
Save the Analytics context as a report
Select Save as report only after the current frame is correct. Marketer opens the Marketing Agent with the view, channel, dates, comparison, currency, and visible metrics as context. Review the seeded request, require a real-data preview, choose Slack and/or email delivery, and keep the report in draft until its schedule and recipients are correct. Continue with Reports and alerts to verify the configured run and each delivery leg.Completion check
- The active workspace and included provider accounts are correct.
- The dates are complete and use the intended timezone.
- Channel, attribution source and model, currency, resolution, and comparison are recorded.
- Source coverage is usable or its limitation is attached to the finding.
- Outcome and spend were read before ratios and breakdowns.
- A custom view has a compatible block, measure, grain, filter, window, and comparison.
- The saved card reproduces the intended preview after the builder closes.
- The owning campaign, creative, product, or connection was checked before action.
Troubleshooting
The channel is disconnected
The channel is disconnected
Use Accounts → Manage or open Integrations, connect the intended resource, and let its requested date range sync. Return to the same Analytics frame after the source becomes usable.
A result does not match the provider
A result does not match the provider
Align the exact resource, dates, timezone, currency, attribution source, attribution model, conversion definition, and object grain. Capture both frames if the difference remains.
New view has no compatible measure
New view has no compatible measure
Change Block or Channel, then choose from the measures the builder enables. A disabled combination indicates a real compatibility boundary, not a label to work around.
The saved view is empty

Edit it and inspect the Window, channel, breakdown, and Only include filter. Confirm the source has activity at that grain before treating the view as broken.
The view is withheld or errors

Read the card’s state, repair the named precondition, and use Retry. Never substitute zero for a withheld value or continue sharing the last remembered result.
