The Slack integration lets your team work with Marketer from an approved Slack workspace and route notifications to a chosen channel.

Prerequisites

  • A Marketer Owner, Admin, or Member role
  • Permission to install apps in the Slack workspace, or help from a Slack administrator
  • A destination channel for workspace alerts
  • The correct Marketer workspace selected before installation
A Slack workspace maps to the Marketer workspace used during installation. To use another Marketer workspace, start the installation from that workspace.

Connect Slack

1

Open Slack

Go to Integrations, then open Slack.
2

Install Marketer

Select Add to Slack and review the permissions Slack presents. Complete the authorization in the Slack workspace you intend to use.
3

Finish setup

Choose the alerts channel, tune notification groups, and link your account if you want direct-message routing.
4

Confirm the connection

Verify the Slack workspace name, connected status, saved channel, and your desired notification settings. Send a test from the setup surface when available.

Use the bot

In a direct message, you can send Marketer a request. In channels or group conversations, mention @Marketer when you want a response. Long-running work can post progress and approval requests back to Slack. The integration also supports these commands in the current product:
  • /marketer status
  • /marketer stop <run-id>
  • /marketer whoami
  • /marketer <prompt>
Keep requests explicit about the workspace, account, date range, and whether you want analysis, a proposal, or an action.

Data and permission boundaries

Slack delivery follows the Marketer workspace connection, your user link, selected alert channel, notification preferences, and your Marketer permissions. Connecting Slack does not expand what you can do in Marketer. Updated Slack features can require an updated permission grant. Marketer will show Reconnect needed when the saved installation does not include the current permission set. Review the Slack consent screen rather than assuming access.

Freshness and records

Slack is a delivery and interaction surface. The underlying advertising, commerce, and analytics freshness still depends on those connected sources. Use Marketer’s in-app feed and task history as the primary place to review workspace activity. A missing Slack message does not prove the underlying task or alert did not exist.

Reconnect or disconnect

  • Reconnect when Marketer requests the current Slack permissions or channel listing fails because the installation is outdated.
  • Revisit Finish setup if no alerts channel is routed.
  • Confirm that Post to Slack, the chosen channel, severity floor, and notification groups match your intent.
  • If Slack settings cannot be verified, refresh. Marketer keeps the connection and saved preferences untouched while the read fails.
  • Disconnecting makes Marketer leave the Slack workspace, stops alerts, clears channel routing, and removes user links. You can reinstall later.

Next step

Send a read-only request in a direct message and confirm the same thread or task is visible in Marketer. Then configure workspace delivery in Notifications and billing.
