The product labels this integration Google Analytics. It syncs read-only GA4 sessions, channels, campaigns, and landing pages from the properties you select.

Before you connect

  • Use a Marketer Owner, Admin, or Member role. Viewers can inspect but not manage the connection.
  • Use a Google identity that can read the intended GA4 properties.
  • Know the property names or IDs that belong in this workspace.
  • Choose a completed date range for validation; GA4 and ad platforms use different attribution models.

Connect and choose properties

1

Open Google Analytics

Go to Integrations → Google Analytics and select Connect Google Analytics.
2

Complete Google consent

The full-page consent flow authorizes read-only GA4 access.
3

Choose properties

In Choose the GA4 properties to sync, use Pick a GA4 property or search by property name, account, or ID.
4

Save the selection

Select Sync N selected property or Sync N selected properties.
5

Verify the connection

Check Account, Properties selected, Connected, and the roster under Synced GA4 properties.
If no active property is available, the page can offer How to set up GA4. Create or regain access to the property in Google Analytics, then return and refresh access.

Read the setup state

If the page says the Google Analytics status could not be verified, refresh rather than replacing the connection.

Manage properties

Select Manage properties to change a healthy selection. A Viewer sees View properties, and the dialog explains that the selection is read-only for that role. The management dialog can be titled Manage synced properties or Google Analytics properties. Use property name, account, and ID—not name alone—to avoid mixing brands with similar GA4 labels.

Follow the sync

Use Resync or Retry sync after access and selection are healthy. GA4 does not show the same in-flight cancel affordance as some ad-platform syncs.

Interpret GA4 beside advertising data

The integration does not edit GA4. It adds site-analytics context beside advertising performance.
  • GA4 sessions are not the same measure as ad-platform clicks.
  • GA4 campaign and channel attribution can differ from Meta or Google Ads conversions.
  • Recent or current-day GA4 values can continue processing.
  • A valid difference between sources is not automatically a sync failure.
When asking Marketer to compare sources, name both the GA4 property and the ad account, plus the date range and metric definition.

Recovery decision tree

  1. Status unavailable: refresh and retain the last-known connection.
  2. Reconnect needed: select Reconnect Google Analytics.
  3. Choose properties: save at least one accessible GA4 property.
  4. Refresh access: restore Google-side access and use Refresh property access.
  5. Missing property: verify the signed-in Google identity and search by ID.
  6. Sync failure with healthy access: resync or retry.
  7. Unexpected totals: compare attribution and processing status before treating the difference as a connection problem.

Next step

Compare one acquisition channel or landing-page question across a named GA4 property and connected ad account over a completed period. Keep each source’s attribution model explicit.
