Review depth should match the consequence of the result. A directional summary needs a source check. A budget or launch decision needs source, calculation, policy, and approval checks.

Trace the result

Start with four questions:
  1. What did Marketer read? Identify the integration, account, entity level, filters, and date range.
  2. What did Marketer calculate? Recreate the key total, ratio, or percentage change.
  3. What did Marketer infer? Separate an explanation from the measured facts that support it.
  4. What does Marketer propose to do? Identify the exact write, its state, and the control that applies.

Review by output type

Analysis

  • Confirm the requested source, metrics, and comparable windows.
  • Check that missing rows are not represented as zero.
  • Recalculate the number that drives the conclusion.
  • Look for plausible alternative explanations.

Creative or campaign brief

  • Confirm the product, audience, objective, and required channel format.
  • Check that claims are supported by approved brand context.
  • Distinguish required inputs from generated suggestions.
  • Keep the artifact in draft until the owner accepts it.

Campaign or workflow plan

  • Confirm the destination account, budget, schedule, targeting, and assets.
  • Compare every spend-related choice with Guardrails.
  • Verify the output or notification destination.
  • Identify whether the plan creates a draft, a paused item, or an active item.

Use an independent verification prompt

Decide what happens next

After review, choose one explicit state:
  • Accept as analysis — save or share the result without a write action.
  • Revise — correct the source, scope, calculation, or creative direction.
  • Prepare for approval — keep the proposed change pending and name the approver.
  • Approve or execute — proceed only when the workspace policy and your role allow it.
  • Stop — reject the work when the evidence or controls are insufficient.
Do not use fluent wording as a confidence signal. Confidence comes from traceable evidence, reproducible calculations, and an explicit action state.
See Approvals and autonomy for the controls that govern write actions.
