When the configuration surface is available
The remainder of this guide describes the available state. Before you add a metric:- Confirm the active workspace.
- Connect and sync a Meta or Google advertising account.
- Know the provider conversion or action-type spelling.
- Check recent volume so you do not choose a plausible name with no data.
- Decide which one metric, if any, should be the Analytics headline.
Add a tracked conversion
1
Open Conversion metrics
Go to Settings → Conversion metrics.
2
Select Add metric
Under Tracked conversions, select Add metric.
3
Choose a conversion
Use Choose a conversion and Search conversions. Options can show recent 30-day volume, No recent data, Already tracked, or the metric that already represents the same conversion.
4
Set the display label
Leave the label blank to follow the conversion’s default name, or enter a workspace-specific display label.
5
Add and verify
Select Add metric, then open Analytics and confirm the expected card and value.
Read the option signals
Conversion vocabularies can contain several spellings for the same business event. Marketer prevents duplicate families where it can, but a person should still validate the chosen action type against provider reporting.
Manage the list
Each metric row shows its display label and raw action type. A Named conversion badge distinguishes provider-named conversions from the standard action vocabulary. Available actions:- Move up or down to control Analytics order.
- Rename to set a workspace display label.
- Make headline to feature the metric.
- Clear headline to remove that role.
- Remove to stop showing it in the workspace’s selected conversion cards.
Rename without freezing the wrong source name
In Rename metric, leave the field blank to use the default name. A custom label remains a workspace override, so update it manually if the provider’s underlying conversion name changes. Use a label that explains the business event while preserving the raw action type for reconciliation.Verify in Analytics
- Use the same workspace, provider account scope, and date range.
- Confirm the metric card label and action type.
- Compare volume with the provider.
- Check whether several provider spellings represent one event.
- Confirm the headline and display order communicate the intended priority.
