# Products

> Verify the Shopify-backed catalog and carry an exact product into creative, campaign, or image-enhancement work.

**Products** is Marketer's synchronized Shopify catalog. Shopify remains the source of truth for product identity and storefront edits; Marketer adds sales context and product-aware handoffs.

Open [Products](https://app.marketer.com/dashboard/products) and confirm the active workspace and connected store.

## Before you begin

* Let the first product, collection, and order-data sync finish.
* Confirm the source product is active and its storefront destination works.
* Know the variant, offer, audience, and downstream use.
* Enable Shopify **Advanced permissions → Push enhanced images to Shopify** only when reviewed generated images should be allowed onto source products.

## Understand the product lifecycle

| Stage             | Use                                                              | Visible next state                                     |
| ----------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| Catalog | Search, sort, compare, and select synced products or collections | Exact product detail or selection action bar |
| Product detail | Verify identity, variants, source, and date-windowed sales | Studio, image enhancement, or Shopify |
| Studio handoff | Create product-grounded concepts | Product attachments in the Studio composer |
| Campaign handoff | Start provider setup from selected products | A campaign draft with product/destination context |
| Image enhancement | Generate two reviewed preview variants | **Open in Studio** or permissioned **Push to Shopify** |

## Follow the core flow

<Steps>
  <Step title="Find the exact record">
    Choose **Products** or **Collections**, search by name, vendor, or tag, select a meaningful sort, and open product detail. Confirm the breadcrumb and source identity.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Verify against Shopify">
    Inspect gallery, status, vendor, product type, description, price range, variants, and **View in Shopify**. Re-sync after source edits.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Read sales in context">
    Use a covered date window and keep Shopify source currency attached. Catalog data can load before sales metrics; a placeholder is not zero.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose one downstream branch">
    Use **Create ads**, **Build campaign**, or **Enhance images**, then confirm the exact product context in the destination before continuing.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Go deeper

  Use exact list controls, source checks, Studio and Campaigns handoffs, enhancement modes, token disclosure, and Shopify push permission.
</Card>

## Important boundaries

* Manual product creation is not currently available; **Add product** points back to Shopify as the source.
* **Best sellers** and **Revenue** are not decision-grade until synchronized order coverage is usable.
* A multi-product handoff can summarize around the first product; inspect the actual destination scope.
* Studio has a product-attachment limit and discloses overflow.
* **Edit**, **Add label**, and Marketer-side **Archive** are shown as coming soon.
* **Push to Shopify** changes the source product and requires both advanced permission and a reviewed preview.

## Completion check

* Workspace, Shopify store, source product, variant, offer, and destination are correct.
* The latest sync completed after source changes.
* Sales claims include date window, currency, and coverage.
* Studio or Campaigns contains the intended product before work continues.
* Enhanced imagery matches the source product and passed rights and storefront review.
* Any Shopify push appears on the intended source product and live storefront.

## If a product is missing or stale

Verify it in Shopify, clear Products search and view state, then use **Resync** or **Retry sync** and wait for completion. For missing metrics, confirm the window overlaps synchronized orders. Do not create replacement Marketer records or treat placeholders as zero.
